Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial significant trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
